Frame your favourite memories
Frames might sound simple, but there are many ways you can go about displaying pictures. It’s up to you what you build, we will have a suggestion, but you are free to design as you please. You will also be given a health and safety introduction, before using any tools.
You can create something minimalistic, traditional or quirky - you decide!
We will learn together over four sessions.
4th Sept: Introduction & Design. This session will give you an introduction to Buildher, our tools, safety, and we will get to know each other. You will also get to see the materials that we have available. Bring pictures or sketches of what you would like to build, and be ready to share some ideas and get inspired by others. Your homework before the next session will be to decide on your final design and source any additional materials that you need.
11th Sept: Build. We will get started with building our frames. Since you design what you like, it means that there is no “step by step” instruction. However, members of the Buildher team will provide guidance and a helping hand.
18th Sept: Build. More building action! Guidance and support from the Buildher team.
25th Sept: Community social. We’ll socialise with waffles and tea, as we admire all the different frames that have been made.

Time: 17:00 - 19:30

Who can join: anyone over the age of 18

We also are big fans of reusing and recycling. So wherever possible we will reuse material. If you need additional materials for your design, then it is up to you to source them. Note: painting and varnishing of your frames, will need to be done in your own time.
