DIY Plant Stands with Buildher + Plasteriet
Summer is just around the corner! Do you want to build something beautiful and useful for your outdoor space? Join us for a three-part DIY project where you’ll have the freedom to create your own design for balconies, gardens, or shared outdoor areas — think plant boxes, herb shelves, or tool holders.
This time, we’re partnering with Plasteriet, who turn waste plastic into beautiful, usable material. You’ll get the chance to incorporate recycled plastic into your build — and learn more about sustainable making in the process. No experience needed — just bring your ideas and we’ll learn together!
We will learn together over three sessions.
4th June: Introduction & Design: We’ll kick off by introducing Buildher and Plasteriet, covering tools, safety, and materials. A short demo will show how Plasteriet recycles plastic and how you can use it creatively in your design. Bring your sketches, photos, or ideas — we’ll share and get inspired.
11th June: Build: Time to bring your project to life! You can choose to work with wood, recycled plastic, or a combination. Since you design what you like, it means that there is no “step by step” instruction. However, members of the Buildher team will provide guidance and a helping hand.
18th June: Community social: We will make the final touches to your design and celebrate our creativity and sustainability! Over tasty snacks, tea and music, we’ll admire everyone’s work and share stories of the process.
Dates: Wednesdays 4th, 11th & 18th of June
Time: 17:15 - 19:45
Location: Buildher Workshop, Kobbes Gate 10, Trondheim
Price: NOK 940
Supporter price: NOK 690 (use your discount code for 25% off, click here to become a supporter for just NOK 250 per year)
Who can join: anyone over the age of 18
Questions? Email contact@buildher.no
We also are big fans of reusing and recycling. So wherever possible we will reuse material. If you need additional materials for your design, then it is up to you to source them. Note: painting and varnishing of your design, will need to be done in your own time.
