Simple storage solutions
Everyone has a space that could use a bit of extra storage, but maybe you just haven’t built it yet. Now’s your chance!
Over three evenings at Buildher, we’ll design and build a small, practical storage. Using reclaimed materials and with guidance from our volunteer team, you’ll learn basic tool skills and simple construction techniques. Examples of types of things you can do:
A small entryway shelf for keys and everyday items
A box for plants or decorations
A bedside shelf for a lamp or books
A simple kitchen storage for spices or mugs
Pictures show a key holder and a spice rack made by previous participants. By the end, you’ll also take home your own handmade shelf and the confidence to build more.
We will learn together over three sessions.
15th April: Introduction & Design: We’ll get to know each other, share what we want to repair or build, and look at available materials, and get an introduction to the tools.
22nd April: Build: Hands-on time in the workshop. Since you repair/build what you like, it means that there is no “step by step” instruction. However, members of the Buildher team will provide guidance and a helping hand.
29th April: Wrap-up & Community social: Final tweaks, finishing touches, and time to admire what we’ve made together.
Dates: Wednesdays 15th, 22nd & 29th of April
Time: 17:15 - 19:45
Location: Buildher Workshop, Strandveien 98B, Trondheim (Map)
Price: NOK 900
Supporter price: NOK 675 (use your discount code for 25% off, click here to become a supporter for just NOK 250 per year)
We don’t want cost to be a barrier to participating. A limited number of fully sponsored spots are available for those who need it. To apply, please email georgina@buildher.no.

We also are big fans of reusing and recycling. So wherever possible we will reuse material. If you need additional materials for your design, then it is up to you to source them. Note: painting and varnishing of your design, will need to be done in your own time.
